Alex has been a tennis professional at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club since 2000. As an active member of the Van Lawn community and having held coaching positions at two other high level clubs in the Vancouver area (The Arbutus Club and Hollyburn Country Club), Alex believes that Van Lawn is the THE place to play tennis in Vancouver.

Alex works with a wide variety of players, from club level adults to groups of kids as well as some competitive players. Alex?s approach to coaching, while well rounded, tends to focus more on the tactical side of the game once establishing a good technical base. As with most teaching professionals, Alex doesn?t find the time to play and compete as much as he?d like, but can occasionally be found competing in 4.5 and open level doubles competition. With a passion for doubles, he is a great coach for any player looking to improve their doubles skills and strategies. Alex is a Tennis Canada certified tennis instructor and has been coaching since 1995.

Coaching is just one element of what Alex Bullock does. With many years of racquet customizing and stringing experience, Alex has travelled on the ATP Tour providing racquet services to the world?s elite. Since 2000, he has been the business manager for courtsidesports.com, a Canadian e-commerce business providing information and products for racquet sports players. Alex also writes a quarterly column on racquet sports equipment for Tennis BC?s Match Point magazine.
